Ingredients of Chilli Cheese Toast


  • Grated Cheese of 1 Cup 
  • Butter of 3-4 tbsp (at room temperature)
  • Crushed Red Pepper of 1 tsp
  • Baking Powder of 1 tsp
  • 6 Bread Slices (white or brown)
  • Coriander Leaves of 1 tbsp
  • Salt of 1 tsp
  • Milk - as Required
  • Oil - for Deep Frying


How to Make Chilli Cheese Toast


Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C or 400°F.  

Step 2

Slice each loaf and spread butter on one side of each slice.

Step 3

In a mixing bowl, combine grated cheese, red chili flakes and salt and mix well.

Step 4

  Take a spoonful of the cheese mixture and spread evenly on the buttered side of each bread slice.

Step 5

  Place the bread slices on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the bread slices are crispy and golden brown.

Step 6

Remove from heat and let it cool for a minute or two.

Step 7

  If you like, you can garnish with chopped coriander leaves for an extra touch of flavor.
